The mission of the H2020 EDI – European Data Incubator project is to promote and encourage the creation of new companies and products in the area of Data Science and Big Data that contribute to advancing Data Economy in Europe. This project, coordinated by Diego López-de-Ipiña from DeustoTech, aims to consolidate European startups in the field of data analysis.

On 19 February, at an event open to the public, the 18 startups currently participating in the EDI data incubator, coordinated by the University of Deusto through the Faculty of Engineering/DeustoTech, will participate in the final event that closes the EXPERIMENT stage. After 4 months of work, the 18 companies that were selected in the first incubation stage will defend the new products (MVPs) they have generated as well as their Business Plan to implement such products in the market. They will defend their solution both from a technical point of view, i.e. what advanced data processing and Big Data algorithms and techniques they use, and from a business point of view, i.e. the business plan and model they have designed to bring their product to market.

The event will be held on Tuesday, 19 February from 9:00 to 17:30 at the University of Deusto’s Auditorium. There, the 18 teams will perform a 10′ Pitch to defend their product, followed by a round of questions by a panel. Those interested are welcome.
