Lecture by Joseba Arregi, former minister of the Basque Government and sociologist, on terrorism and victims in Basque literature

On 3 November, the University will be holding the opening of a photography exhibition entitled “En pie de foto internacional, la mirada de la víctima”, which will be attended by Florencio Dominguez, coordinator of the cultural activities for the presentation of the Memorial Centre of Victims of Terrorism, Jorge Fernández Díaz, Minister for Home Affairs, and Mª Mar Blanca, President of the Victims of Terrorism Foundation. Then, a lecture on “Las víctimas del Terrorismo en la Literatura" will be held, which will be followed by a roundtable discussion between novelist Fernando Aramburu and historian Gaizka Fernández Soldevilla. This talk is part of a lecture series that will include a talk by historian Santiago de Pablo on the presence of ETA and its victims in films on 5 November, at 19:00; and, on 10 November, also at 19:00, Joseba Arregi, former minister of the Basque Government and sociologist, will give a talk on terrorism and victims in Basque literature.
