III International Congress on Law and Artificial Intelligence: its projection on fundamental rights.

Registration Program Leading experts will address the challenges and opportunities that the development of Artificial Intelligence presents in relation to fundamental rights. The first day will begin with an opening session by David Fernández de Retana, partner at Cuatrecasas and civil law lecturer; Inmaculada Herbosa and José Ramón Intxaurbe, professor of Civil Law and dean of the Faculty of Law, respectively, at Deusto University. We will continue with an inaugural conference on 'Artificial Intelligence and the law: the next frontier' delivered by our partner Omar Puertas. We will continue the same day until 8:15 pm with various round tables and conferences among which the following will stand out: the session on 'Risks and liability arising from the use of Artificial Intelligence in the field of business and its managers' by our lawyer Ainhoa Barrutia; Sofía García-Ollauri, Head of Financial and Professional Advocacy at Marsh; María Ortiz de Guinea, Risk Manager at Iberdrola; and Álvaro Fraile, Global Cybersecurity Services Director at Ayesa. Finally, Rafael Sánchez-Aristi will give a talk on 'The training of Artificial Intelligence systems and intellectual property rights: the scope of the text and data mining limit', which will form part of the last session of the day. On Friday 28th, at 10:10 am, our Labor expert Iker Prior will be in charge of introducing the master conference on 'New technologies and fundamental rights from the labor perspective' in which Ignacio García-Perrote, professor of Labor Law at the UNED and magistrate of the 4th Chamber of the Supreme Court, will participate. Afterwards, Mariano Yzquierdo will take part as a speaker in the master conference on 'Artificial Intelligence and consumption: How does Artificial Intelligence affect civil liability for defective products'. The last day will continue with interesting sessions such as the one on 'Artificial Intelligence and citizens' rights. Our partner José Ramón Berecíbar will host 'A vision from the institutions', with Juan Ignacio Pérez, Minister of Science, Universities and Innovation of the Basque Government, and Minister Félix Bolaños as speakers. Finally, Javier Fontcuberta, CEO of Cuatrecasas, and Juan José Etxeberria, rector of Deusto University will give the closing speech Organized by: Deusto University Law School and Cuatrecasas.
