Physician and researcher María Roca Rodríguez invited to the Deusto Hall of Residence lunchtime seminar

Deusto Hall of Residence will host a new lunchtime seminar featuring María Roca Rodríguez, physician and researcher at the University of Deusto.

A graduate in Medicine and Surgery from the University of Granada, Roca Rodríguez specialises in Family and Community Medicine and holds a PhD in Physical Anthropology. Her career combines university teaching with healthcare provision in crisis contexts and international cooperation.

She is the author of Salud en poblaciones víctimas de catástrofes: análisis bioantropológico. Estudio comparativo de poblaciones refugiadas y de acogida, in which she examines the impact of disasters and displacement on the health of affected communities.

During the event, she will share her professional experience with the residents and reflect on the ethical challenges of practising medicine in vulnerable environments.
