The involvement and presence of the professional are essential for establishing a fully engaged client–therapist relationship. Within this relationship, the dynamics that emerge require the therapist to conduct careful and attuned exploration in order to gain a deep understanding of the person being treated (their internal rhythm, emotions, life crises, needs, childhood experiences, traumas, and so on). While the responsibility for this relational process rests with the therapist, it is always essential to ensure that the client genuinely feels supported, understood, and safe within the therapeutic space.

On 9 January 2026, at the Bilbao campus, Ángela Pérez Burgos will explain Integrative Relational Psychotherapy provides concepts and methods that help therapists navigate the various dilemmas and challenges encountered at each stage while leading the therapeutic process.
