Opening Ceremony MUN Bilbao 2026

The University of Deusto will once again welcome nearly 300 students from across Europe on Thursday, 29 January, for the Opening Ceremony of MUN Bilbao 2026. MUN (Model United Nations) is an academic simulation of the United Nations in which students from around the world take on the roles of diplomats from different countries to debate and address international issues. MUN Bilbao continues this tradition, providing an environment where participants develop skills in diplomacy, negotiation, and leadership while reflecting on global challenges.

The opening ceremony marks the start of the conference and features speeches from prominent figures, including ambassadors from the participating delegations and the Secretary-General of MUN Bilbao. It is an opportunity to set the tone for the discussions and debates that will take place throughout the event. The conference will continue until 1 February at Ayalde School.
