An evaluation of a peer assessment procedure for a large class of first year BA Graphic Communication Design students at Central Saint Martins, University of the Arts, London
Through their graphic design practice, REG design (www.regdesign.co.uk), Emily and her partner Ruth Sykes, are interested in exploring how graphic design can help improve living and learning. Their portfolio includes projects for charities, arts organisations, schools and universities with clients such as V&A, Crafts Council, Koestler Trust and UAL.
Emily will be presenting an evaluation of a peer assessment procedure which she undertook in October 2016 with first year graphic design students, as part of the delivery of a newly revalidated course at Central Saint Martins. It was delivered as a part of the summative assessment of the student’s first five week unit; a group project designed to introduce the students to how to learn in higher education.
