Opening of the 2021-22 academic year in San Sebastian

The University of Deusto will be opening the new 2021-2022 academic year next Wednesday, 22 September. The academic ceremony, which this year will be held on the San Sebastian campus (Camino de Mundaiz, 50), will begin at 12:00 in the Loiola Centrum, after a Mass at the same venue at 10:30.

The events will begin with the reading of the academic report for the 2020-2021 academic year by the General Secretary, Stella Solernou. This will be followed by the Opening Address entitled: ” Sueño y señuelo de la experimentación remota” (Dream and lure of remote experimentation), which will be delivered by Javier García Zubia, Professor of the Faculty of Engineering.

The ceremony will be followed by a lecture by the Rector José María Guibert and will end with a keynote speech by the President of the Basque Government, Iñigo Urkullu.
