Conference – Challenges of 21st century cooperative societies
The appointment of San Sebastian as the Spanish capital of the Social Economy in 2023, under the motto “Con las personas en el centro”, is a great opportunity for our city to bring the Social Economy closer to its citizens and, in particular, to young people.
The University of Deusto Law School, through its Institute of Cooperative Studies and the International Cooperative Law Association, in line with its long-standing commitment to dissemination and research in this field, will be holding a scientific conference entitled “Retos y desafíos de la Sociedad Cooperativa del Siglo XXI” on 25 and 26 October 2023 at its San Sebastian campus. The aim is to help raise awareness of the fact that cooperatives represent a model of democratic, responsible and ethical business, which focuses on people and the environment, promoting and encouraging economic growth, social justice, respect for human rights and freedoms and solidarity.
