Conference: “The role of members in cooperative societies: an interdisciplinary analysis”
The Institute of Cooperative Studies (IEC) and the International Association of Cooperative Law (IACL), in collaboration with the Basque Academy of Law (AVD), will hold a conference entitled “The Role of Members in Cooperative Societies” at the University of Deusto on 12–13 November 2025 in hybrid format (in person and online). The conference will address the legal status of members within cooperatives, particularly in situations involving withdrawal or member liability. It will also explore the challenges of entrepreneurship and cooperative activity in relation to members, while offering an interdisciplinary perspective that includes tax, administrative and labour dimensions.
