The energy sector is preparing for the future, aware of the changes to be carried out in their business models to last over time. There are many challenges ahead in the coming years, which will bring new forms of competition, changes in customers’ behaviour and increased demand for sustainability.

EDP has been recognised as the best European and world company in the utilities sector in the Dow Jones Sustainability indexes for two consecutive years, as a result of establishing its Sustainable Development Principles, aimed at finding a balance between economic, social and environmental activities.

Next Thursday, 17 September, Miguel Stilwell d’Andrade, chief executive at EDP, will take part in a coffee roundtable discussion of BBVA’s lecture series “Empresa y banca responsible”, where he will talk about “EDP. Energia sostenible y competitiva”.
