Feminism and technologies. The focus of the university and research

The programme of the 6^th Conference on Technology, Development and Society organised by Ingeniería Sin Fronteras Euskadi will be addressing a wide range of female approaches to the technological field focused on social transformation, innovation and art from a university and research perspective.

• 10:00 Engineering Without Frontiers Basque Country. Apuestas del feminismo en las tecnologías.
• 10:30 Remedios Zafra. Lenguaje y tecnología: estrategias creativas y prácticas de empoderamiento. Remedios Zafra is a writer, feminist and a lecturer in Art, Innovation and Digital Culture at the University of Seville and a researcher of the influences of imaginary technologies in building gender and social equality.
• 12:15 Pablo Garaizar. Digital identity. Pablo Garaizar is a lecturer in Information and Communication Technologies at the University of Deusto and has taken part in many projects and publications on ICT use in new educational models.
• 15:00 Ainhoa Güemes, Enkarni Gómez and Kontxa Elorza. Artecnoscience. Aihnoa Güemes is a journalist, feminist and researcher on art and technology. Her PhD thesis was co-supervised by Enkarni Gómez, PhD in Engineering and Kontxa Elorza, PhD in Fine Arts. Juntas, como maquinaria de producción artecnoviva, han creado la artecnociencia.
• 17:00 Ana Fernández. Cuerpo, género y vejez en las viviendas colaborativas de mayores. Ana Fernández is an architect and urban planner. MA in Feminist and Gender Studies; she has carried out research on "Cuerpo, género y vejez en las viviendas colaborativas de mayores". She specialises in Feminist Urban Planning.
