OPEN Bilbao Festival (check opening hours)
As part of the Open Bilbao Festival (formerly Open House Bilbao), the University of Deusto will open its doors so that the public can discover three of its iconic buildings from the inside:
-La Literaria (guided tours on Saturday morning). With the help of volunteers from the Pedro Fabro Association, we will be able to learn about the ins and outs of the largest building constructed in Bilbao in the second half of the 19th century, along with the Casa de la Misericordia. Registration is required. More information. Three tour options will be offered:
11:00-12:00, for a group of 20 people, in SPANISH. It will be given by Juan Maria Velasco.
12:00-13:00, for a group of 20 people, in BASQUE. It will be given by Maite Uriarte.
12:00-13:00, for a group of 20 people, in ENGLISH. Led by Donna Fernández.
-La Comercial (Saturday, 10:00-20:00): Discover ‘La Comercial’, a building with clear Anglo-Saxon echoes, and lose yourself in its wooden staircases. More information
-The CRAI Library (Saturday, 10:00 a.m.-2:30 p.m.): The Library overlooks the Guggenheim, a backdrop towards which the views are oriented. More information

This is Bilbao's architecture festival, where you can discover the city's most representative buildings and spaces. Every autumn, for seven days, the programme invites you to discover Bilbao's architecture through its architectural heritage and highlights new ways of understanding and creating architecture.
In this 8th edition, OPEN is evolving with the aim of offering a broader and more open view of architecture. Aware that current architectural practice is more diverse than ever and that a unitary and iconic architectural model continues to predominate in the collective imagination, the OPEN programme seeks to broaden that view by showcasing other types of architecture. In addition to continuing to open up spaces, new ways of creating architecture will be highlighted, from the perspective of emerging studios to unbuilt architecture, showcasing increasingly prevalent alternative ways of practising the profession.
