1st Annual Conference of the Cuatrecasas–University of Deusto Chair in Public Procurement Law
Public procurement is a cornerstone of the European Union’s single market and plays a key role not only in the delivery of public services and the development of infrastructure, but also in advancing social and environmental policies that have a direct impact on the day-to-day activities of public institutions, economic operators and citizens alike.
The 1st Annual Conference of the Chair proposes an analysis and critical reflection on a number of issues currently under discussion as part of the process of developing a newEuropean public procurement framework, which is expected to replace the current fourth-generation 2014 Directives.
The conference will examine the emerging geostrategic dimension of public procurement and its potential practical implications, as well as the role and structure of procurement review bodies within the new regulatory framework, the principle of integrity and the renewed approach to exclusion grounds, together with the impact of artificial intelligence on the sector.
