On 23 April, we invite you to participate in the 9th Ethics Conference, organised by Deusto Business Alumni and the Centre for Applied Ethics, Faculty of Social and Human Sciences, University of Deusto, in collaboration with the BBK Foundation. The global geopolitical landscape is becoming increasingly complex. While uncertainty levels have been worrying since 2020, Daron Acemoglu, 2024 Nobel Prize winner in Economics and MIT professor, recently stated that he has never seen the degree of confusion and uncertainty that has prevailed since the start of this year. This situation also affects the European Union internally and the national context, creating a sense of political disarray that is difficult to manage. This is the context in which companies, economic actors, but also organisations of primary importance in social and political life, must carry out their projects and activities. The discussion proposed in this conference addresses this situation from both an analytical and a proactive perspective, combining a first-hand look at the current geopolitical situation and its main trends with the concept of innovative corporate diplomacy, offering proposals and tools to navigate these circumstances.
