Jose Mª Guibert visits the Colegio Mayor to present his book ‘La Caverna’

On Monday 7 October, the Deusto Hall of Residence will inaugurate its series of Café-Colloquiums 2024-2025 with the visit of Jose Mª Guibert S. J. The former rector of the University of Deusto will present his latest book, ‘La Caverna’, the diary of the kidnapping of his father, the Basque industrialist Jesús Guibert Azkue. In this work, Jose Mª recalls a terrorist act, a violation of fundamental rights, accompanying the story with hopeful reflections on life, family, politics, ethics, spirituality, forgiveness and reconciliation, among other topics. He will talk about all this with the schoolchildren, who will have the opportunity to learn first-hand about the fear and suffering caused by terrorism.
