Presentation of research news platform: The Conversation

The University of Deusto has signed an agreement with The Conversation research news platform that will contribute to making the results of research conducted at the academic institution more visible. It will also help to enhance the outreach, dissemination and social impact of research.

The Conversation-Spain is an entity whose main objective is the dissemination of knowledge emanating from academia and the scientific and research community across Spanish society and the Spanish-speaking world through an independent digital platform.

This technological platform aims to disseminate articles on various topics, focusing on the analysis of current events, dissemination of knowledge and scientific news. Papers, which are unpaid, are signed by university professors and experts from universities and research institutes. They are written in accessible language for the general public, and are based on scientific rigour, data, experts’ analysis and approach.

The website allows to view the impact of publications: number of readers, newspapers in which it has been published, or countries in which it is read so that the impact can be monitored and quantified.
