Presentation of the book “Teoría del edredón”

A duvet is a lightweight bed covering with fillings in a variety of weights and thicknesses, the purpose of which is to cover the bed and protect sleepers from cold and damp. The duvet metaphor allows us to better understand the world we live in, its cities, territories, communities and people. How we use this duvet brings about misalignments such as the scientific-technological paradigm on the planet. The fast-paced, globalised handling of this duvet called the world is leading to highly complex environmental, economic, social and cultural imbalances.

Roberto San Salvador del Valle, Director of Deusto Cities Lab Katedra, has published “Teoría del edredón”, his second essay within Editorial Catarata’s Ciudad 2030 collection, with which he aims to reflect on people who transform the world, its cities and communities.
