Seminar – The Global Crisis of Democracy: Lessons from Central America
On Friday, 5 December, the University of Deusto will host a seminar examining the global crisis of democracy, with a particular focus on Central America. Researchers from the academic network RED-ICA will present key findings from a project carried out by the Complutense University of Madrid, Loyola University Andalusia, and its ETEA Foundation, with support from AECID.
The event will include an open discussion on the implications of democratic backsliding in the region, the role of international cooperation, and the effects of violence, repression, and exile on societies. University faculty, students, public officials, development cooperation actors, civil society representatives, and Central American residents in the Basque Country have been invited.
