Workshop: The Board’s invisible colours – How our approaches to deliberation, challenge and decision-making influence the quality of corporate governance

FOR MEMBERS OF THE BOARD CLUB ONLY As a member of the Deusto Business Alumni Board Club, we invite you to take part in a practical and interactive workshop specifically designed for professionals who are members of governing bodies and decision-making forums. Through a brief self-assessment based on the DISC model and explored using a colour-based approach, we will examine our predominant tendencies when we deliberate, challenge ideas, influence others or contribute to building consensus within a Board of Directors. Beyond categorising profiles, this session aims to encourage shared reflection on key issues relating to the quality of corporate governance:

• What does each way of thinking, analysing and making decisions contribute?

• What risks arise when a single tendency dominates the conversation?

• How can we build more balanced, complementary and effective Boards?

• What impact do our individual dynamics have on the quality of collective deliberation?

This is a dynamic experience aimed at people who exercise judgement, oversee strategy, contribute to major decisions and regularly work with business, human and organisational complexity. From this perspective, the workshop is not intended as traditional psychological training, but rather as a space for reflection on real Board dynamics, governance, shared leadership and organisational functioning.

The session will be delivered by Marta Arcaute, Director of Haches, Organisational Psychologist, Mentor, Coach and Senior Consultant in Integrated Strategy.
