Researcher Fernando Bayón will give a talk entitled “Verdi and theatre architecture” in the Ninth Verdi Week
Fernando Bayón, PhD, is a researcher at the University of Deusto Institute of Leisure Studies. His interest in genealogy analysis and the crisis of modernity seen through art, drama and literature led him to do research stays at universities including ETH-Zurich, Princeton and Yale. He is the author of numerous books and articles.
On 28 May, he will take part in the Ninth Verdi Week: “Seis vueltas de tuerca sobre Verdi”, sponsored by the Bilbao Friends of the Opera Association (ABAO). His talk is entitled “Verdi and theatre architecture” and will review Verdi’s works in light of the architecture of the theatres for which they were created. This event will be held at 7:30 pm in the Assembly Hall.
