The impact of Tuning projects on Kyrgyz Higher Education

Bekboeva Rahat is Academic Head and person responsible for the Masters’ School of the International University of Kyrgyzstan, as well as teaching courses on Microeconomics and Taxation. She was a national Coordinator for the Kyrgyz Republic in Tuning Kyrgyz Republic 2005-2007 and Tuning  Central Asia (TuCAHEA) 2013-2016 projects and is a National Higher Education Reform Expert (HERE) in Kyrgyz Republic; currently, Visiting Researcher, DITA.

Bekboeva Rahat will present a review of the impact of Tuning Kyrgyz Republic (2005-2007) and Tuning in Central Asia (TuCAHEA; 2013-2016) projects on Higher Education in the Kyrgyz Republic in the past 15 years.

The presentation assesses the significance and importance of the results of Tuning approach in Higher Education in the Kyrgyz Republic, reveals the direct and indirect impact on the promotion of reforms (modernization) in the field of Higher Education, and identifies the problems which have emerged during the dissemination and implementation process.
