What if we got together to talk about democracy… over a beer? And what if that plan was proposed by Anthony Zacharzewski, president of Democratic Society? Beers & Politics: are you going to miss it?

In recent months, the Democracy Conversations have brought together international experts to share their views and reflections on democracy, participation, and governance.

Along the way, we have heard inspiring ideas, asked questions, and generated valuable discussions. But above all, we have built perhaps something even more important: a diverse community of people and organisations eager to think together about democracy and share experiences.

Now, we want to invite you to a different kind of event: Beers & Politics. The special guest will be Anthony Zacharzewski, president of Democratic Society.

We will start from the conversation “The Emerging European Democracy and Its Enemies” to reflect on a key question: if Europe has become the political space to face major common challenges, what could its new democracy look like, and what forces are trying to stop it?
