Institutional welcome to international students and first-year students
On 4 September, an institutional welcome ceremony will be held at the Main Hall on the Bilbao Campus at 11:30 a.m. (CEST). Participants will include the Vice-Rector for University Community and Agenda 2030, Aitziber Irigoras, the Vice-Rector for International Relations, Javier Arellano, the Mayor of Bilbao’s City Hall, Juan Mari Aburto, and the Deputy for Basque, Culture and Sport of the Biscay Regional Council, Leixuri Arrizabalaga, as well as the consuls general and honorary consuls based in Bilbao. The meeting will end with a reception and students will have the opportunity to get to know the city of Bilbao with Deusto students participating in the Buddy Programme.
This first semester, the University of Deusto will be hosting more than 400 undergraduate and postgraduate students at the Bilbao Campus and 85 students through the International Virtual Campus, a digital space designed to offer accessible and inclusive internationalisation alternatives to students from our partner universities around the world.
