Course: Accessible Tourism and Customer Service for customers with disabilities and other special needs
This course will help to define the concepts, types of disabilities, market analysis of Accessible Tourism, establishing guidelines on customer service for people with special needs, etc. In addition, students will have the opportunity to make a tour of the building where the course will be taught using wheelchairs, masks, and walking sticks so that they can put themselves in the situation of a disabled person. On the other hand, people with disabilities from the local associative movement will explain first-hand the needs they have when they go sightseeing and the good and bad experiences they have had. The course will end with a roundtable discussion where professionals from the local tourism sector will present benchmark initiatives of accessible tourism at the destination or region.
