Deusto Summer School 2020 - International Relations in the post-COVID context: the role of business diplomacy
07/13/2020 – 07/16/2020
Online

The COVID has reconfigured the dynamics, actors and practices in the international relations. It has accelerated previous trends and initiated a phase that some scholars are already categorizing as a new de-globalized world order.

Even though, business operations success have always been closely related to the understanding of international relations, in the post-COVID scenario, the relevance of drafting and implementing realistic and scientific analysis-based internationalization strategy becomes crucial.

A well founded ad-hoc business diplomacy strategy will be the ley to identify and sustain international strategic alliances, as well as prevent risks and perform more sustainable business plans.

The program will cover the following topics:

– Political challenges for the post-COVID International Relations
– Analysis of (un)certainties for international business.
– The future of international trade promotion public policies and the public-private partnership.
– Business diplomacy as a key for mid-long term sustainability of international business plans.
