The Colegio Mayor is honored to welcome Fernando Barturen (Vizcaya, 1962) as a guest speaker at its upcoming colloquium. He is the Head of the Department of Anesthesiology, Resuscitation, and Pain Management at Son Espases University Hospital in Palma de Mallorca.

Barturen, a specialist in Anesthesiology and Resuscitation, has built an outstanding professional career in the medical field, holding various leadership roles in both the public and private sectors. Among his most notable achievements are his tenure as Head of the ICU, Medical Director, General Director of Policlínica Miramar, and Coordinator of Information Systems at Servei de Salut Illes Balears.

Since 2021, Barturen has been leading the Department of Anesthesiology and Resuscitation at Son Espases University Hospital, where he remains a key figure in advancing innovation in patient care and treatment.
