12:30 – 14:30

The UNIC European University, of which the University of  Deusto is part, involves and engages with citizens, civil society and public/city partners in research and innovation.

The 360º Cities Model and the KAIA Method (learning, research & action) pioneered by Deusto Cities Lab have been selected as examples of engaged research within UNIC4ER project. This online event takes a deep dive into four best practice cases of engaged research from across the UNIC Alliance (including the ones from Deusto). It asks what are the knowledge and empowerment processes needed to address the challenges of post-industrial cities? How do we fundamentally re-evaluate what we do as universities and cities, to work not only for society but also with and within society?
