Deusto Business Alumni, in collaboration with PKF Attest organizes a Meeting under the title: Impact of the ESRS and the CSRD Directive in the Corporate Strategy: Towards a Transparent Sustainability.

The event will provide a unique platform to explore in depth the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD) and the European Sustainability Reporting Standards (ESRS), key tools to ensure transparency in corporate sustainability in Europe.

As the European Union demands higher standards of disclosure of non-financial information, companies face the challenge of aligning their strategies with these requirements. In this meeting, business leaders, sustainability experts and regulators will discuss the regulatory and operational impacts of CSRD and ESRS, providing practical insights to ease the transition to regulatory compliance.

9:00 h. Welcome: Antón Azlor, President of Deusto Business Alumni.

9:05 h. Introduction: “The CSRD Directive: what does it mean for companies?” Explanation of the objectives, deadlines and scope of the regulation, by Mikel Zuaznabar, audit partner at PKF Attest.

9:35 h. Round Table

Discussion on ESRS: How do they guide reporting?

Subtopics: key indicators, dual materiality, and relationship with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

Participants: Salvador Marín, member Sustainability Reporting Board (SRB) of EFRAG, María Dolores Urrea, Deputy Director General of ICAC Standardization and Accounting Technique and María Luisa Poncela, member of the Sustainability Committees of Talgo, Idom or Salvat. The round table will be moderated by Javier Lueje, ESG partner at PKF Attest.
