NATO and its new Strategic Concept in light of the Ukranian crisis
05/06/2022
12:00 – 14:00
Auditorium. Avenida de las Universidades 24 48007 Bilbao

The North Atlantic Treaty Organisation (NATO) is a military international organisation that emerged in the context of the Cold War in 1949 to face the increasing influence and power of the Soviet Bloc. After the end of the Cold War, NATO entered in a period of lack of definition due to the dissolution of the Warsaw Pact and the new scenario of international cooperation between former enemies. A Summit to reflect on its challenges will be held in June 2022 in Madrid, where a New Strategic Concept will be developed. The Russian military aggression on Ukraine will obviously condition NATO’s ways ahead in an increasingly troubling world.

The conference will be conducted in english.
