Since then he has performed at all the prestigious music festivals in India and throughout Asia, Africa, North America and Europe; he has also been nominated for the Grammy Award for Best World Music Album. Shujaat Husain Khan has developed a unique style in Indian classical music. He has recorded more than 60 albums. His intuitive, fresh and spontaneous approach to rhythm has captivated audiences around the world. His exquisite music flows from his heart and touches everyone’s hearts.

Some of his performances include the musical concerts celebrating India’s 60th anniversary of independence and a special performance at the United Nations General Assembly Hall. Other relevant venues where he has performed include Carnegie Hall in New York, Paramount Theater and Meyers Symphony Theater. In 2000, the Boston Herald listed Khan’s concert as one of the top 25 upcoming events of the year.
