“Mathematical Methods For Control Theory” (part V): Introduction to the fractional Laplacian
04/11/2018
15:30 – 17:00
TIMON ROOM AT DEUSTOTECH
Abstract:
The aim of this course is to present a systematic overview of several mathematical tools which are commonly employed in control theory. The lectures will be organized in various thematic modules, each one developed around a different type of model. We will treat both theoretical and numerical aspects. The lectures during April will be devoted to:
Title:
Introduction to the fractional Laplacian.
Abstract:
Aim of these lectures is to present a brief but systematic introduction to the fractional Laplacian. In the first classes, we will introduce the operator and we will discuss some of its relevant properties. In a second moment, we will focus on applications in PDE theory and, in particular, in control problems.
