University of Deusto-Santander Research Award “Research with scientific and social impact”

The University of Deusto will be holding the 20th University of Deusto-Santander Research Award ceremony on Thursday, 11 June. This prestigious award recognises not only the academic excellence of the research teams but also the transformative potential and social impact of their work.

The first prize has been awarded to the project “Intervenciones inteligentes para mejorar la calidad de vida y salud en la adolescencia” (Intelligent Interventions to Improve Quality of Life and Health in Adolescence), led by Esther Calvete’s team. The runner-up prize went to “TANGENT: técnicas avanzadas de tratamiento de datos para la gestión dinámica del tráfico multimodal” (TANGENT: Advanced Data Processing Techniques for Dynamic Multimodal Traffic Management), directed by Antonio David Masegosa. The award is proudly supported by Banco Santander through Santander Universities.

In addition, accreditations will be presented to the projects that have earned the Research Impact Seal this year.

The ceremony will take place at 12:00 in the Garate Room. Speakers from the University of Deusto include Rector Juan José Etxeberria and Vice-Rector for Research and International Relations Javier Arellano. Banco Santander will be represented by Matías Rodríguez Inciarte, President of Santander Universities, Carlos Prieto, Territorial Director, along with other distinguished guests.
