PYCLAS Seminar IV with Adolfo Lorente, former correspondent for El Correo in Brussels
As a correspondent in Brussels between 2013 and 2018, Adolfo Lorente had to cover the EU’s frenetic activity in such relevant events as the 2014 European election, the Euro crisis, the refugee crisis, the Brexit, terrorist attacks… He will be sharing with us his first-hand anecdotes on the workings of the EU.
The PYCLAS Seminars offer you the opportunity to meet with professionals from public and private organisations related to EU’s public policy management and control, and interact with them in an informal setting. From an eminently practical and close perspective, our guest speaker will talk about his professional activity, and how it fits within the EU’s public management and control. He will also provide students with practical advice and guidance based on his own experience, such as the values that have prevailed in his career or the professional skills that he considers essential to progress in the professional career. The PYCLAS Seminar will allow you to broaden your career opportunities and gain insight into aspects related to public management and civil society that are currently available in the job market but that are not properly featured in the current university curriculum.
In the 2018-2020 period, the Jean Monnet SAPIA Module will be holding three PYCLAS Seminars per year, thanks to funding from the Erasmus+ Programme of the European Commission and the University of Deusto Law Faculty.
Attendance is free but registration is required as places are limited.
Participants taking part in at least 2 sessions will be granted an attendance diploma if they request so at the Law Faculty Dean’s office.
