Basque regional citizenship and habitual residence

To mark the start of the programme Expert Diploma in Basque Civil Law, starting next 5 October, we would like to invite you to a round table on “Vecindad civil vasca y residencia habitual”. In it, we will address the civil and tax aspects of the status enjoyed by all citizens in the Basque Autonomous Community after having automatically acquired Basque regional citizenship since the entry into force, on 3 October, of Law 5/2015, of 25 June, on Basque civil law and its effects on hereditary succession and taxation on Inheritance and Donations, where habitual residence is taken as a connection point. For this purpose, the event will count on the presence of Elixabete Piñol Olaeta, practicing lawyer, and Alberto Atxabal Rada, lecturer in Financial and Tax Law at the University of Deusto.
