Allan Musonda will present a research project that examines the relationship between Algebraic competencies and emotional intelligence of first year Bachelor of Science Education students at Copperbelt University in Zambia. The aim of the Project is to establish whether students performance in algebra and mathematics in general can be explained in terms of their Emotional intelligence and if so then make suggestions for student training in emotional intelligence.

 

Allan Musonda is Teaching staff in the School of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, Copperbelt University, Kitwe , Zambia, PhD candidate at Copperbelt University; Coordinator for student support – Center for Academic Development, Copperbelt University; and Visiting Researcher at Deusto International Tuning Academy (Short-Term Visit Scholarship Scheme)
