Deusto Business Alumni Meeting in Vitoria with Pedro Luis Uriarte, executive chairman of “Economía, Empresa, Estrategia”

In November, a Deusto Business Alumni Meeting will be held with Pedro Luis Uriarte (1966 class year), Executive Chairman of Economía, Empresa, Estrategia and Minister of Economy and Finance of the Basque Government from 1980 to 1984, among other positions, in his long career. During this event, which will be held jointly with PwC, he will present his book “El Concierto Económico vasco: una visión personal”.

This meeting will be held in Bilbao, San Sebastian and Vitoria on 16, 17 and 18 November, respectively.

The author will explain how his book mainly seeks to examine the personal income tax system of the Agreement from a personal perspective, based on his experience as a Chairman of the Basque Negotiation Committee of the 1981 Agreement and his own subsequent reflections.

This book makes an in-depth analysis of the past, present and future of the Agreement, addressing all sorts of issues, with particular emphasis on its defence and provides numerous references, data and criteria to better understand the Basque Agreement, assess its great contribution on the personal, economic and social spheres and enhance the need to defend and improve it as a key element to achieve a better future.
