On Friday, 17 September, the Ceremonial Hall on the Bilbao campus will host the presentation of diplomas for the “University Extension Diploma for Employment Training in Supported Employment Environments”, which will recognise the work of the 15 students in its first graduating class.

Designed, managed and taught by the University of Deusto and the GAUDE Association, this is the first university degree in the Basque Country that offers comprehensive training for the employment and social and university inclusion of young people with intellectual disabilities aged between 18 and 30.

In this regard, the Diploma allows them to continue with their academic and vocational training to find a job that facilitates their transition to adult life, increasing their quality of life and employability and generating opportunities that enable a full, independent and satisfactory life project.

The Diploma is included within the field of knowledge of Social and Legal Sciences at the Faculty of Psychology and Education (Bilbao Campus), and is structured in two academic years, each with 30 ECTS credits, and a total of 15 subjects.
