Ada Byron 2020 Award Presentation

The Rector of the University of Deusto, José María Guibert, is pleased to invite you to the presentation of Ada Byron Award to Women Technologists 2020, a prize that seeks to enhance women’s work in technology. The event will be held on 31 January at 12:00 as part of Deusto’s Engineering and Technology Week, Forotech 2020.

On the occasion of the award presentation, the 2019 award winner, Concepción Alicia Monje will give a lecture entitled “Hacia una sociedad robótica: Accercándonos a la ciencia ficción”, which will be presented by Ada Byron Award coordinator, Cristina Giménez Elorriaga.

The event will be attended by the Deputy for Employment, Inclusion and Equality at the Biscay Regional Council, Teresa Laespada, the Director of the Basque Institute for Women – Emakunde, Izaskun Landaida, as well as General Manager of IK4-IDEKO, Nerea Aranguren, and the Dean of the Faculty of Engineering at the University of Deusto, Asier Perallos, who will give the welcome address.

The event will end with a networking cocktail reception.
