The LLM in International Legal Studies invites you to the presentation of the book Banking Bailout Law. A comparative study of the United States, United Kingdom and the European Union by the author Virag Blazsek.

The book examines the different bank bailout and resolution techniques and tools through carefully selected case studies from the US, the EU, the UK, Spain and Hungary. The pros and cons of the different legal and regulatory options are identified in order to reconstruct a regulatory framework that might better serve countries in future financial crises.

Virág Blazsek has a decade-long experience in working as an attorney in the financial sector in the U.S. and in Hungary. She earned her juris doctor degree from Eötvös Loránd University in Budapest and her SJD/PhD in International Business Law from Central European University in Budapest. She also earned an LLM in Business and Finance Law from the George Washington Law School in Washington, D.C., where she served as a Buergenthal Scholar.
