Edispe seminar: “Challenges of social protection in Latin America and the European Union”
The guest professor will share his vision on the challenges of social protection in Latin America, focusing on the current constituent process in Chile, where the proposed Political Constitution of the Republic on the right to social security is being debated. He will also discuss the challenges regarding people’s mobility and the growing migratory flows. A debate will be opened on the evolution of these aspects in the EU, which, despite the approval of the European Pillar of Social Rights, is still encountering many difficulties in moving towards greater standardization of its social security and protection systems.
