The aim of this seminar is to bring new insights into the meaning and impact of the so-called “Network Society” or “Information Society”, as a conceptual framework to explore the intersection between mobilities (migrations/refugees) and the use of various technological tools. The seminar is part of the research work ” Integración y Participación de las Asociaciones de Inmigrantes en la Sociedad de la Información” (AsiTIC; Spanish Ministry of Economics and Competitiveness, CSO2012-31999).

10.45-11:15: Pablo Garaizar (University of Deusto) «Las TIC y sus modelos de sociedad».

11:15-11:45: Jaume Albaigès (TecnolONGia.org) «Retos TIC 2015 en las entidades del Tercer Sector».

11:45-12:00: Coffee Break

12:00-12:30: Ainara Pérez (Saregune, Vitoria-Gasteiz) «Saregune: Una experiencia de inclusión digital»

12:30-13:00: Catalina Uzcanga  (University of Deusto) «Inclusión digital de las asociaciones de inmigrantes»

13:00-14:00: Rountable discussion chaired by Esther Aretxabala (AsiTIC team) «Retos de las TIC para la sociedad civil inmigrante»
